5th October 2011 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: 20-30 knots Surf / Sea State: 3-4 foot messy surf Air Temperature: 16°C Sea Temperature: 15°C Weather: Cloudy with rain Max Speed: Distance Covered: Waited for Shem after having had a nice swim in the estuary then headed across for a windsurf off the seafront. Rigged 5m sail and Naish Hybrid Freewave and got on the water while Shem and Tom were rigging. Started off a little underpowered, but the wind soon filled in a little and I was perfectly powered. It was quite big out the back which led to some nice floaty jumps and then some nice big jumps off the breaking waves closer to the shore. Managed to knock my ankle with my fin though which is now VERY sore and swollen and I can't walk on it. Also lost my toenail on my left big toe which now matches the missing one on my right foot. |
